Michael Tamborella

Michael A. Tamborella, age 92, of Weymouth passed away December 15, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Fall River, he was the son of the late Alfred and Lena Tamborella and brother to the late Gertrude Berryman. He served for two years during the Korean War and was employed as an engineer at Stone and Webster Engineering. He had a deep appreciation for opera, literature, and poetry. He will be missed for his great sense of humor and his natural ability to connect with others.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Dr. Elizabeth Tamborella (Taylor), his loving children Tom and Deborah Tamborella of Rockland, David Sr. and Nancy Tamborella of Weymouth, Peter and Kelly Tamborella of Pembroke, Lisa Tamborella and Brian Lewis of Weymouth, and the late Michael Tamborella Jr. He continues to be adored by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Michael on Friday December 21, 2018 from 4-8pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. A Celebration of Life service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Joanna’s Place at Joannasplace.org.
