William E. Legge

William Ellsworth Legge, age 91, of S. Weymouth passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018. Bill was born and raised in Norwood and served his country in the Army in both World War II and Korean War for which he was awarded a Purple Heart. He and his late wife Dorothea settled in Weymouth where they have resided since 1959.
Bill was an insurance Adjuster for many years with the Continental Insurance Company. He enjoyed repeated trips with his wife to Hawaii after retirement. Bill loved ice dancing with his wife and family and he also enjoyed woodworking and carpentry.
William is the husband of the Late Dorothea E. (Hawley) Legge. He is the loving father of Dianne Johnston and her late husband Ronald of Holbrook and Susan Espiritu and her husband Romy of Abington, cherished grandfather to Steven and Cheryl Johnston and Sirenna Evans, and great grandfather to Natalie and Madeline Evans and Emily Jensen. He also leaves a brother, Dr. Earle Legge of Venice, FL.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service in honor of William on Friday, December 28 at 11 AM in the Christ Church located at 12 Quincy Ave. Quincy, MA. Interment will immediately follow at Lakeview Cemetery in S. Weymouth.
