William A. Archibald

William A. Archibald Sr., age 83, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, October 14, 2018. William and his brother Frank owned and operated a construction company, Archibald Brothers Builders, for many years. He later worked as a building inspector for Weymouth, and the State of Mass., retiring in 1996
Bill enjoyed New England sports and woodworking but his true passion was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorathy (Goodrow) Archibald, his son, William Archibald Jr. and his wife, Kristin and his daughter, Lesley Archibald and his grandchildren, Paul, Ryan and Thomas Archibald, Henry Jr. and Ava Casciano, all of Weymouth. He also leaves his sister, Jacqueline Billings and brother, Frank Archibald. Bill is predeceased by his sister, Lois Ambach, and his brothers, Richard, David and Donald Archibald.
Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to visiting hours for Bill on Thursday, October 18 from 9:30 to 11:30 AM in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth. The Funeral Service will immediately follow at 11:30 AM. Burial will be in the Old North Cemetery in Weymouth.
