Helen Rita Manning

Helen Rita (Files) Manning “Rita” age 82, of Clermont, FL died peacefully September 18,2018 at the Cornerstone Hospice in FL. Rita was the wife of the late Joseph E. Manning. She was the mother of her sons, Mark of Nowell, MA and Paul and his wife Berenice of Arlington, VA, and her daughters, Kerrie and her husband Steve of Orlando, FL, Kathleen and her late husband Gary of Dunedin, FL, and Michelle and her husband Brian of Abington, MA. Rita also leaves her grandchildren, Mackenzie, Erika, Morgan, Joseph and Benjamin, her sisters, Dorothy, Janet, Lorraine, Sheila and Donna and her beloved dog, Benji.
Rita was born and lived in Weymouth before moving to Clermont, FL where she lived for the last 10 years. She was a clerk at the Sears Roebuck parts Department in Norwell for 20 years. Rita enjoyed playing mini golf & was very competitive in Yahtzee and Skat. She loved all animals, made the best
tuna sandwiches and put everyone else before herself.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Rita on Friday, September 28 from 5-7 pm in the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant Street, (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth, MA. Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home for a celebration of life on Saturday at 8 am prior to the Funeral Mass at 9 am at the St. Francis Xavier Church, 234 Pleasant Street, S. Weymouth, MA.
