Donna Galley

Donna M. Galley (McCambly), age 80, of Weymouth passed away on August 8, 2018 after a long illness with her family by her side. Donna was born, raised, and educated in Boston. She started a family and settled in Weymouth where she has created so many wonderful memories. Donna married her husband of 35 years, Edward Galley in 1984. Donna was a professional singer for many years and played shows at many local venues. She also volunteered for years at South Shore Humane Society and even took in animals on her own often.

Donna is survived by her beloved husband Edward Galley of Weymouth, her loving daughters Gail Hopkins of Weymouth, Debra Hopkins of Braintree, and Nancy Sweezey of Weymouth, her cherished grandchildren Anthony, Tiarma, and Jesse, and her great-grandchildren Victoria, Violet, Anthony Jr., Vincent, and Bentley. Donna is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Donna on Friday August 10, 2018 from 4-7 PM in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home on Saturday Morning at 9AM for a Celebration of Life prior to the Funeral Mass in honor of Donna’s life which will take place at 10AM at St. Albert the Great Church located in Weymouth. Burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Donna may be made to the South Shore Humane Society at P.O. Box 850187, Braintree, MA 02185.
