Sandra Sarhanis

Sandra E. Sarhanis, age 74, of Rockland passed away after a brief illness on July 25, 2018 with loving family by her side. Sandra was born, raised, and educated in the St. Mark’s Parish area of Dorchester. Throughout her life she also spent time in Weymouth, Quincy, and most recently lived in Rockland for the last eleven years.

Sandra worked in an office environment most of her life and enjoyed everyone she worked with. She was a friendly, likeable woman who was very devoted to her family. Even though she enjoyed all of her family, she most especially lit up when she saw her great-nieces and nephew.

Sandra was predeceased by her parents James K and Mary V. Sarhanis (Ballerini). She is the loving sister of Lynda Sarhanis of Rockland, and Alexander Sarhanis and his wife Suzanne of S. Weymouth, cherished aunt to James Sarhanis and his wife Kim of Dorchester, and Richard Sarhanis of Manassas, VA, devoted great-aunt to Maxwell, Zoe, and Addison whom she loved so very much. Sandra is also survived by her close friend of 60 years Mary Dufresne and her godchild Billy, who has owned a piece of Sandra’s heart since the day he was born.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Sandra on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 3-6pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasnat St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA 02190. Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9AM on Monday for a Celebration of Life prior to the Funeral Mass in honor of Sandra’s life which will be at 10AM in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth.
