Linda E. Palladino (Schofield), age 70, of Weymouth passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on July 2, 2018. Linda was born, raised, and educated in Norwood. She met her husband of over 50 years, Kenneth Palladino, on a ski trip with friends in the 60’s. Linda and Ken got married in 1968 in St. Peter’s Church in Norwood. They started a family together in W. Roxbury and quickly outgrew their apartment. Ken got a job at E. Junior High School in Weymouth so they bought a house and continued raising their family here, where they have resided ever since. They chose a quaint neighborhood and have made countless memories with the friends they met over the years affectionately referring to themselves as the “Holly Hill Gang”.
Family was by far the most important thing in Linda’s life. She would often reminisce of the fond memories of the 40+ years they did family trips to Centre Harbour, NH at the Colonial Pines Resort. Linda also enjoyed exploring her talent with art; from ceramics to sewing she was happy to create one-of-a-kind pieces for her family and friends, many of whom still enjoy them to this day.
Linda was a fun, loving, generous woman who will be remembered for her tight bonds with family and friends, her amazing brownies and other cooking, but most of will be missed for being the best wife and mother a man could ever ask for.
Linda is survived by her beloved husband of over 50 years Kenneth Palladino Sr, her loving children Mary Ellen DeRoche and her husband Stephen of Braintree, Ann Marie Marek and her husband Andrew of Frisco, TX, and Kenneth “PJ” Palladino Jr. and his husband Ryan Hanlon of Wilmington, her cherished grandchildren Zachary and Maxwell of Braintree, and her sister Susan Chern and her husband Paul of Needham. Linda is also survived by two nieces, many cousins, aunts, and friends.
