Carla Goode (Mahoney)

Carla A. Goode (Mahoney), age 77, of Weymouth and formerly of W. Barnstable passed away peacefully at home on June 27, 2018. Carla was born, raised, and educated in Boston where she grew up with her future husband, Thomas Goode. When Tom returned from his service in the Marines they soon got married then lived in Boston for short time before settling in Weymouth. Education was important to Carla, over the years she acquired a Bachelor’s degree in from Boston State College and her Master’s from Suffolk University. Carla and Tom started a family together and loved getting involved in the community, Carla being a town meeting member and Tom being on the Weymouth Planning Board, both for many years. They retired to W. Barnstable until Tom passed away in 2016. Carla lived for the beach, reading mystery novels, and continuing her education.

Carla is predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas Goode. She is survived by her loving children Gary Goode and his wife Susan of Hanson, Thomas Goode and his wife Tracy of Weymouth, Brian Goode and his wife Cathleen of Rockland, John Goode and his wife Kim of Rockland, and Adam Goode of Whitman, her devoted sister Karen Goode and her husband James of Dennis and her late brother Damian Mahoney. He is also the cherished grandfather to fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Carla on Friday June 29, 2018 from 8am-9:30am at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. A Funeral Mass in honor of Carla’s life will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10am. Interment will immediately follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
