Fern M. Grady

Fern M. Grady (Leighton), age 74, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2018 after a long illness at John Scott House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Braintree, surrounded by her loving family. Fern was born, raised and educated in Weymouth. She married her husband of 53 years, Denis Grady, and they settled in Weymouth where they started a family together and have lived ever since. Fern worked for Dr. Albert Sullivan and South Shore Cardiology for a number of years. She loved spending time with her family, playing bingo and her beloved canine companion, Maggie.

Fern is survived by her husband of over 50 years T. Denis Grady of Weymouth, her children, Janine Cicchese and her husband William Cicchese of Whitman, Kristin Arnold of Weymouth and Denis Grady of Weymouth. Fern is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Jillian, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Brooke and Kevin, as well as her two great-grandchildren, Emily and William. Dear sister of Laurie Watson and husband Russell of Florida and Robert Leighton and his late wife Nancie of S. Weymouth. Fern was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Funeral services and burial for Fern were private to honor the wishes of her family and were handled by C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home located in Weymouth. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice of the South Shore located at 30 Reservoir Park Drive, Rockland, MA 02370.
