Bonnie (Bossart) Emami, age 73, of Plymouth, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 28, 2018. Bonnie is survived by her husband of 37 years, Mohsen Emami, her son, Ebrahim “Jeb” William Emami and his wife, Lindsey of Springfield, VA and her grandsons, Lucas and Spencer Emami. She also leaves her sister, Barbara Alcorn of La Jolla, CA and her brother, Stephen William Bossart of Edwards, CO.
Bonnie was born in Philadelphia, PA, grew up in Hamden, CT and graduated from Cornell University where she was a proud member of the Alpha Phi sorority. Her early career in advertising started in New York City where she lived for 8 years. Bonnie lived in Weymouth for 30 years before moving to Pinehills in Plymouth 12 years ago.
Her career continued in DRI/McGraw-Hill and Deutsche Bank as a Financial Reporter for nearly 40 years before retiring in 2015. Her claim to fame was that she once swam in the White House pool.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the Funeral Service in honor of Bonnie on Wednesday, May 2 at 1pm in the Old South Union Church located at 25 Columbian St. S. Weymouth. Arrangements are in the care of C. C. Shepherd Funeral Service, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bonnie’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 125 S. Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130, www.cancer.org/.
