Jane Connolly

Jane A. Connolly (Thorne), age 76, of Weymouth passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer on March 29, 2018. Jane was raised and educated in Roslindale where she attended Sacred Heart School and Archbishop Cushing High School. She worked for AT&T, Domino Sugar, and Boston Edison before getting married in 1964 to John Connolly. Shortly after, they settled in Weymouth where John and Jane raised their family together and have resided for the last 48 years. Jane worked at Olden’s Pharmacy in Columbian Sq. for 45 years, and always treasured the memories and friends she made during that time. She was also active at St. Francis Xavier Church, loved bingo, knitting, and traveling to destinations like Aruba and Naples, Florida.

Jane is survived by her loving husband John Connolly of Weymouth, her beloved children Karen Lennon and her husband Sean and the Connolly’s, Mary, Kevin and his wife Kelly, and John Jr. and his wife Ellen all of Weymouth. Her cherished grandchildren Christopher, Katelyn, Kerrin, Paul, Seamus, Brendan, Liam, and Billy. Jane is also survived by her great-grandchildren Taylor and Savannah, and her sisters Ellen Andreas, Carol Moore, and Winifred Thorne. As well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Jane which will be held on Monday April 2, 2018 from 4-8pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq) Weymouth, MA. Relatives and friends will gather Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Church located at 234 Pleasant St. Weymouth, MA for the Funeral Mass in honor of Jane’s life which will begin promptly at 9:30am.
