Mary Hennessy

Mary (Griffin) Hennessy, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Mary is survived by her husband of 41 years, Michael Hennessy, her children, Dana Griffin and his wife Sethany, Jimbo Griffin and his fiancée, Dianna and Dawn Hennessy and her fiancé, Paul all of Weymouth and her grandchildren, Dana Griffin Jr., Karl Griffin, Alexis Griffin, Gianna Griffin and Brielle Griffin. She also leaves her brothers and sisters, Patti Otten of AZ, Whitey Griffin of Bar Harbor, ME, Ricky Griffin of Bar Harbor, ME, Sharon Rumill of Ellsworth. ME, Bonnie Cross of Hancock, ME and Cookie Herrick of Ellsworth, Me.
Mary was born in Bar Harbor, Me and moved to Dorchester at the age of 16 before moving to Weymouth in 1979. She was a Child Care provider for Weymouth School’s after school Program for 3 years before retiring to start her favorite job, taking care of her own grandchildren.
She loved playing Bingo at local halls and casinos and attending family gettogethers.
Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to visiting hours for Mary on Friday, February 16 from 4-6 PM in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visiting hours at 6 PM at the funeral home.
