Nancie Leighton

Nancie Leighton (LaCrosse), age 70, passed away on January 9, 2018 after a long illness at her home in Weymouth surrounded by her loving family. Nancie was born in Maine but raised and educated in Weymouth. She married her beloved husband, Robert Leighton, then they settled in Weymouth together where they started a family. Nancie worked at South Shore Hospital for 30 years and was active at St. Francis Xavier Church in Weymouth. She loved travelling most especially her trips to Italy, France, Ireland, but her most cherished memories were her yearly trips to Old Orchard Beach with her family.

Nancie is survived by her husband of over 50 years Robert Leighton of Weymouth, her loving children David Leighton of MD, Robert Leighton of Weymouth, and Carolyn Hayward and her husband James of Plymouth. Nancie is also survived by her grandchildren Jessica, Alex, Paige, Derek, and Abigail.

Funeral Services for Nancy were private to honor her wishes and are being handled by C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located in Weymouth, MA.
