William P. Lawton

William P. Lawton, age 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, December 17, 2017 after a short illness. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Janet (Bulman) Lawton. Devoted father of 3 daughters, Jill Crowley and her husband, Michael of East Bridgewater, Jennifer Lawton and her wife Erin Miller of Longmont, Colorado and the late Bethaney Lawton. Proud Papa to Ava, Ryan and Olivia Crowley. He is survived by his brother, Gerard Lawton and his wife Carolyn of Saluda, NC and his sister Doreen Lawrence and her husband Raymond of East Douglas, MA. He was predeceased by his parents, Doris and John Lawton and his brother John "Jack" Lawton.

Bill Lawton broke the mold on what a man was supposed to be. Kind hearted and generous. Quiet, but an incredible presence, he was a rock for his wife and girls. He truly was a family man. He enjoyed camping with his family, watching the Pats and never missed his grandkids’ games or shows. He took pride in caring for his yard and working for the Hingham School Dept. for 27 years. He was a member of the Holy Nativity Church.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a memorial service in honor of Bill at the Holy Nativity Church located at 8 Nevin Rd. in S. Weymouth on Saturday, December 30th at 11 AM.
