Mary Patricia Kelley

Mary Patricia “Pat” Kelley earned her angel wings on October 5, 2017. Of South Weymouth and Ft. Myers, FL, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Leo McGrory and Mildred Leary McGrory Upham. Pat lived her life in three homes within a quarter mile, a true Weymouthite. She loved the company of her family and friends and her beloved Nantasket Beach. She could be found every Sunday during the summer surrounded by friends, music and dance at the pavilion. She often said that she thought her purpose in life was to make people laugh, and she certainly succeeded.

She married the love of her life, the late William D. Kelley, in 1953. She is survived by her loving children Michael and (Diane) of Scituate, Kim of South Weymouth, William and (Kelli) of Baton Rouge, LA, Judie of Rapid City, SD, and the late Ann Marie. Beloved Nana Precious of Jake of Pompano Beach, FL, Devon of Brighton, and Finnian of Baton Rouge, LA. Preceded in death by her cherished brothers Arthur Leo (Yvonne) and John Robert McGrory, her adoring sister Helen White (Irving), and loving step brother, Roy Upham (Aurie). She is also survived by friend and sister- in- law Jeanne Davis McGrory, numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of dear friends near and far.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Pat on Tuesday, October 10 from 4-8 PM in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth. Relatives and friends will gather in the Funeral Home Wednesday morning at 8:30 AM for a celebration of life prior to the Funeral Mass which will be at St. Francis Xavier Church at 9:30 AM.
