Robley Ray, age 72, of Weymouth passed away with family by his side on April 16, 2017. Rob is a lifelong resident of Weymouth and has lived in the same house his entire life. After high school he joined the Navy and served for 6 years including some time at the South Weymouth Naval Air Station. He married his beloved wife of 49 years, Jeannette, and started a family. Rob enjoyed Golf, volunteering his time most especially at the Weymouth Eagles where he was a life member, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren whom he loved very much.
Rob is survived by his beloved wife Jeannette Ray (Harrison) of Weymouth, his loving children Robley P. Ray of Georgia and Greg Ray and his wife Denise of Weymouth, and his cherished grandchildren Alyse and Sydney. He is the loving brother of the late Thomas Ray and his wife Claire Ray. Rob will be sorely missed by his brother-in-laws, sister-in-law and by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the memorial visitation for Rob on Friday April 21, 2017 from 10-11AM in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA 02190. A memorial service will take place immediately following the visitation at 11AM. Donations may be made in Rob’s memory to the Eagles Heart Fund in the care of the Weymouth Eagles at 1338 Washington St. Weymouth, MA 02189.
