Barbara "Joyce" Davis

Barbara J. “Joyce” Davis (Badger), age 72, of Quincy passed away peacefully at home with family on April 4, 2017. Joyce was born, raised, and educated in New Haven, CT. Joyce moved to MA to continue working on her Master’s and her raising her daughter. She enjoyed working most of her life as a clinical social worker with her career taking her many different places including New York, Boston, the U.S Virgin Islands and Washington, D.C. She was also active in the Seventh-day Adventist faith.

Joyce is survived by her beloved daughter Katherine Bolden and her grandson Ty P. Bolden both of Quincy, her loving siblings Robert Badger (wife Arletha )of GA, Herman Badger (late wife Dorothea) of CT, William Badger( wife Marilyn) of Mashpee, Gloria Flemming of CT, and the late Barbara Welfare and Nancy Watts. Joyce is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and close friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Memorial visitation on Thursday April 13, 2017 at 10:30AM in the Mt. Zion Seventh-day Adventist Church located at 64 Marlboro St. Hamden, CT 06517. A Memorial Service in honor of Barbara Joyce’s life will follow the visitation from 11AM-12PM. Flowers are accepted for the service or donations may be made in memory of Barbara Joyce to the Dana Farber Cancer Center at South Shore Hospital 55 Fogg Rd Weymouth, MA 02190.
