John Wiklund

John F. Wiklund, age 77, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
John was a Braintree High School graduate who went on to earn a degree at Newbury College. He proudly served his country in the Navy and worked at Braintree Electric Light Department where he was a dedicated employee for 42 years.
His wonderful life will be forever cherished by his loving family. He was an extremely devoted husband to his wife Suzanne Wiklund (Knudsen) for 53 years and he was the proud and loving father of his beautiful children, Jeffrey and Lisa Wiklund of Weymouth, Kristin and Gregg Ondrick of Weymouth, and Heather and Mark Reardon of Charleston, SC. He will also be remembered with affection by his 4 grandchildren, Amanda and Abigail Wiklund and Stephen and Jillian Ondrick.
John was a great sports enthusiast and loved watching all the local sports teams. He also liked to travel with his family and friends. A great friend to all who knew him, John will be remembered for his big smile and his kind and caring ways. He was a great man who will be missed by so many.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the memorial service in honor of John which will be held on January 19, 2017 at 11:30AM in the Bethany Congregational Church located at 18 Spear St. Quincy, MA 02169. Donations In lieu of flowers may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at 6931 Arlington Road 2nd floor Bethesda, MD 20814. Funeral services for John are in the care of the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home in Weymouth, MA.
