Frances Borden (Moeller), age 91, of S. Weymouth passed away on November 7, 2016. Franny was born and grew up in Randolph. She married Newton in 1947 and they made their home in Weymouth where they spent their whole lives together. Franny was a born again Christian whose inner peace, joy, and kindness was unmistakable throughout her life and felt by all who knew her. As a member of the First Baptist Church in Weymouth she taught Sunday school and was a deaconess that welcomed new members, visited those who were ill, and prayed for those in need. She was devoted to her husband who was truly the love of her life. She was fearless, funny, and had a love for art, nature, and animals which she passed on to her children. Although Alzheimer’s slowly stole her memory it never touched the joy that radiated from her.
Franny was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years Newton Borden. She is the loving mother of Christine Borden of Marlborough, Laurie Micarelli of Weymouth, the late Bonnie Bussey, and the late David Borden. Cherished grandmother to Matthew Borden and Christopher Micarelli and devoted sister to Dorothy Kidder of Colorado.
