Claire A. DelRosso

Claire A. (Bersani) DelRosso, age 79, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Claire was born and raised in Quincy then raised her children in Braintree. When she finally retired she moved to Boca Raton, FL, then she moved to S. Weymouth where she would be closer to her children and grandchildren. She was a retired Manager of the Braintree office of Quincy Cooperative Bank. Claire was a devoted Catholic and very charitable with Catholic charities. She was a terrific cook, an incredible artist, an avid reader and loved writing poems.
Claire’s life revolved around her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved entertaining her family. Claire is survived by her husband of 61 years, Phillip A DelRosso Sr., her three loving sons, Phillip A. DelRosso Jr. of Plymouth, John DelRosso and his wife Donna of Candia, NH, and David DelRosso and his wife Kimberly of Pembroke, her loving daughter, Diana Maccarrone and her husband Paul of S. Weymouth and her sisters, Rose Flaherty of Quincy, Lucille Attardo of Deltona Beach, FL, and her brother, Alfred Bersani of Bridgewater. She also leaves her six cherished grandchildren, Phillip DelRosso III, Nicholas DelRosso, David DelRosso Jr., Anthony Maccarrone, Michael Maccarrone and Christopher Maccarrone and her great granddaughter Isabella DelRosso. Claire is predeceased by her son Phillip’s, wife, Donna DelRosso.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Claire on Friday September 30 from 4-8 PM at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth. Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Saturday for a Celebration of Life prior to the Funeral Mass in honor of Claire which will be held at 9:30 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Church, 234 Pleasant St. S. Weymouth. Interment will be at the Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
