Ruth M. Craig

Ruth Craig (Werme), age 91, of S. Weymouth passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 21, 2016. Ruth was born, raised, and educated in Quincy. She married her husband, George, and they settled in quincy to start a family for 11 years then moved to Weymouth where they have resided for over 50 years. She worked for many years as a sales clerk at Jordan Marsh in Braintree. Ruth enjoyed collecting dolls and was known by everyone for being a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She also enjoyed bus trips with her family, trying new things, and helping anybody that she could.
Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband George W. Craig. She is survived by her loving children Stephen Craig and his wife Judy of Oakland, ME, Jeffrey Craig and his wife Sharon of Weymouth, and the late Jon Craig. Devoted sister of Marjorie Edele of CT, and the late John and Frank Werme. Ruth is also survived by many loving grand and great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Ruth on Thursday August 25, 2016 from 11AM-1PM in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA 02190. A Funeral Service celebrating Ruth’s life will begin promptly at 1PM, followed by her burial at Mount Wollaston Cemetery in Quincy.
