Charlene Gates

Charlene Gates, age 56, of Weymouth and formerly of Dorchester, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on July 26, 2016. Charlene was born, raised, and educated in Boston. She worked for Venice Pizza in Dorchester for many years while raising her family. Charlene moved to Weymouth for the last twelve years and worked as a housekeeper at Allerton House Assisted Living. Charlene loved cooking but what she enjoyed most by far was spending time with her grandkids.
Charlene was the second child, first daughter, of Charles and Catherine Dana. Charlene is survived by her three beloved children, Michael Gates and his wife Jennifer of Canton, Tony Gates and his partner Karrie Nelson of Holbrook, and Ashley Ronca of Weymouth, as well as her four cherished grandchildren Nathaniel, Shelby, Anthony, and Zachary. She is also survived by her siblings Billy Dana and his wife Kathy of Dorchester, Mary Dana and her partner Danny Boucher of Braintree, and Joanne Rabs and her husband Joe of Pembroke.
