Paula Bickel

Paula Bickel, age 54, of Abington, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2016. Paula was born and raised in Weymouth, graduated from Weymouth High School in 1979 and received a business management degree from Massasoit Community College. She was a longtime underwriter and office manager for McCormick and Sons Insurance Agency. Paula enjoyed her large and extended family, especially her grandchildren. She had a love for cooking, and her door and heart were always open to people in need.
Paula was the loving mother of Erica Lammers and the devoted grandmother of Bryan Blaisdell and Natasha Lammers all of Abington. Cherished daughter of the late Alice (Anderson) Bickel and the late Donald Bickel. Loving sister to Maxine Steel of Abington, Donna Bickel of Rockland, Darrell Bickel and his wife Barbara of Hanson, Laurie O’Neill and her husband James of Rockland, and the late Robert L. Bickel and the late Carole Abbott and her late companion Steven Blaisdell. Paula also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours for Paula on Wednesday, May 4 from 4-7pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth 02190. A service in honor of Paula’s life will be held in the funeral home immediately following the visitation at 7pm.
