Carol A. McCarthy

Carol A. (Lacey) McCarthy, age 79, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 24, 2016.
Carol was the loving wife of the late Charles Augustus McCarthy Jr. and is survived by her devoted children, Brenda McCarthy of Raynham, Charles Augustus McCarthy III of Rockland, Kevin McCarthy and his wife Adriana and Maureen Whiting and her husband Dan of Carver her grandchildren, Amanda Goble and her husband Christopher, Aimee Stymest, Corey Stymest, Jennifer King, Natalia Sabogal and Matthew Whiting. She also leaves two great grandchildren, Abigail and Andre Goble, her two brothers, Eugene Lacey of Quincy. Brendan Lacey of Magnolia and her sister Judy Ouellette of Hyde Park. Carol was loved by many friends and relatives. She is predeceased by her brother Bob Lacey of Florida.
She was born in Boston, grew up in Braintree and lived in Weymouth for 40 years before retiring to Plymouth 10 years ago. Carol was a member of the second graduating class of Arch Bishop Williams High School in Braintree and graduated from Burdett College in Boston.
Carol worked for the Massachusetts State Lottery for 20 years and loved Florida and her house in Plymouth.
Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to the visiting hours at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Thursday, January 28 from 4-8 PM. Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home on Friday at 8:30 AM for a celebration of life prior to the funeral mass at St. Francis Xavier Church, 234 Pleasant St. S. Weymouth at 9:30 AM.
