Howard Robbins, age 100, of Weymouth passed away peacefully in his home on November 6, 2015 while surrounded by his loving family. Howard was born in Braintree then raised and educated in Randolph. He married his lifelong friend and sweetheart, Marian, in 1938 and later bought a house in Weymouth where they raised their family together. Howard worked at Westinghouse, the Quincy Shipyard, and his favorite job at Grossman’s in the print shop. After his retirement he enjoyed many years working part time at Mt. Hope Cemetery. He was a drummer for his family band, the Warren Robbins Trio and was very active at First Baptist Church in Weymouth. Howard’s greatest joy in life was his family; and he loved every moment he spent with them.

Howard was predeceased by his beloved wife Marian J. (Tower) Robbins. Howard was the loving father to Nancy Noyce and her husband Harold of Weymouth, Janet Lovett of Blaine, WA, and the late Joan Veldhuis and Kenneth Robbins. He was survived by many nieces and nephews. Also the cherished grandfather to 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours for Howard on Wednesday November 11, 2015 from 4-8pm at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth and will be private. Donations in honor of Howard may be made to the First Baptist Church in Weymouth at 40 West St, South Weymouth, MA 02190. A memorial service will be held in honor of Howard at the First Baptist Church in Weymouth on November 23, 2015 at 7pm all are welcome to attend.
