Frederick J. Lohmar, Sr. of Weymouth, MA passed away peacefully August 24,
2015 after a long illness. Freddy was predeceased by his Wife, JoAnn
(Borgasano) Lohmar and his Mother, Rose A. Lohmar. Freddy was an active member of the VFW Post #1399. He loved the Miami Dolphins, Boston Red Sox and Elvis Presley.
Freddy leaves behind his daughter, Barbara Jean Lohmar of Weymouth; his son, Frederick Lohmar, Jr., of Orlando, FL; his beloved German Shepherd, Champ #4; his sister, June Hayes of Rockport, his youngest and most dedicated brother, Joseph Lohmar and his wife Carol (Candler) Lohmar of Kingston; Robert and Theresa Lohmar of Dorchester and brother Stephen Lohmar and his wife JoAn of Raynham. Freddy also leaves many nieces and nephews; many friends from the VFW Post, as well as his best and oldest friend, Russell.
Freddy made the family get-togethers fun with his off-the-cuff comments and remarks and he'll never know how much humor he provided to all of us.
Funeral Service will be at Immaculate Conception Church, 720 Broad Street, Weymouth at 10:00AM, Saturday, August 29,. Following the service, friends and family are invited to celebrate Freddy's life at the VFW Post #1399, 601 Broad Street, E. Weymouth.
Funeral arrangements were made by the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Service, 134 Pleasant Street, (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greater Boston Food Bank, 70 South Bay Ave., Boston, MA 02118-2700.
