Dorothy Dee (Gallivan) Norman, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Ralph W. Norman, and her devoted children, Michael Norman and his wife Melissa of Rutland, VT, Tracy McLaughlin and her husband Jimmy of Halifax and Mark Norman and his wife Emily of Pembroke. Dee also leaves her grandchildren, Kelsey, John, Hayley, MaryKate, Liam, Patrick and Brendan. She is predeceased by her parents, Dr. John Gallivan, MD and Dorothy (Dee) Gallivan, her sister, Maryjane Neagle and her brother, John Gallivan.
Born in Weymouth, Dee grew up in Braintree and lived in Weymouth for the last 54 years. She drove a school bus for Weymouth schools for 32 years before and retired 4 years ago.
Dee’s creed was to keep three things close to her heart, family, faith and friends. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and traveling, she was also a close friend of Bill W.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours for Dee on Sunday, June 14 from 3-7 PM at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth. A celebration of life will take place at 9:30 AM in the Funeral Home on Monday, June 15 prior to the Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 850 Washington St. Braintree at 11 AM. Burial will immediately follow at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
