Merton C. age 91. Husband for 50 years of the late Mary C. (McCulloch) Cheney. Father of Barbara Cheney Caffelle of Canton and Beverly Cheney Saccocia of Bridgewater. Grandfather of Jennifer Saccocia Kelley, of Easton, Julie Augustine of East Bridgewater, Jason Saccocia of Bridgewater, Meredith Caffelle and Brian Caffelle of Canton, Richard Caffelle of Avon and Patricia Caffelle of Stoughton. Brother of Lois Cyr of Brockton, the late Norman Cheney, Ethel Carberry, Irene Milani and Mildred Cheney. Also survived by 6 great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at the Church of the Holy Nativity S. Weymouth on Friday February 4 at 11 A.M. Visiting Hours at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Thursday 3 to 8 P.M. Masonic Service with Weymouth United Lodge Thursday 7:30 P.M. Interment will be private at Old North Cemetery, N. Weymouth.
