Theresa "Terry" Sandsbury (Smith), 57 of Weymouth sadly passed away on Thursday March 19th 2015 at Beth Isreal Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after seven weeks of bravely fighting for her life due to pneumonia and several other complications.
Terry was born in Weymouth to James & Rita (D’Allessandro) Smith on February 3rd 1958. She graduated from Weymouth North High School in 1976. She worked at Rockland Trust Company as a computer programmer for several years and was proud to say she was a computer programmer before there were computer programmers. She loved listening to music, her Diet Mt. Dew, bowling, Boston Sports Teams, and enjoyed supporting the Mass Lottery. What brought her the most joy was spending time with her two grandsons, Dominic and Anthony. She loved singing the song “Forever Young” to them.
Terry was predeceased by her father, James F. Smith and her soulmate, her husband, Robbin H. Sandsbury. She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Sandsbury, her son in law Justin Sweatt, her two grandsons, Dominic Sweatt and Anthony Sweatt , her mother, Rita Smith, her 3 sisters, Rita Marie Smith, Fran Smith, and Cheryl O'Neal, her brother in law Carl O'Neal Jr. her nieces, Jessica Westerland, Erica Landsberg, Angela O'Neal, Turita Brangman and Aisha Smith, her nephew Carl O'Neal, her great nephews, Wyatt and Jett and her very close friend of 15 years Steven "Albi" Eaton.
The Family wishes to extend their gratitude to The Critical Care Unit at The Brockton Hosptial and Garret J. McDonald at C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home in South Weymouth Ma.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visiting hour from 3 to 4 PM on Thursday, March 26 at the Immaculate Conception Church located at 1203 Commercial Street Weymouth, MA 02189. A Funeral Mass will immediately follow the visiting hour at 4PM at the church. Burial will be at Old North Cemetery in Weymouth at a later date. Due to the Lenten Season flowers are not permitted in the church, therefore, In lieu of flowers memorial donations may made to Terry’s family.
