James C. Violante, 65, of Attleboro, passed away on Feb. 27. Born and raised in South Boston, he met his other half, Annie, while there. They married in 1976 and moved to Weymouth in 1978, where they raised a large family together. James will be remembered for being a hard worker, sharing his unlimited knowledge, and for his unyielding dedication to his family, especially his Annie.
James was welcomed into Heaven by his beloved wife, Carol “Annie,” Violante (Hayes), who died in 2002, and his son Daniel, who died in 1974. He was the loving “Pa” to Bonnie Flaherty of Attleboro, Christine and Richard Quirk of W. Boylston, Arlean Howard of Plymouth, Christine Howard of Weymouth, Joseph and Carol Howard of Kingston, and John Howard of Florida. He was the cherished "Papa"to Billy, Crystal, Ashlee, Mikey, Danny and Jimmy, and the great-grandfather to Nadia. James is also survived by his sister Helen Orlando, brother Eugene Violante, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours for James on Saturday March 7 from 10AM - Noon at C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) South Weymouth. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at Noon followed by a burial at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
