Constance L. (Redding) Snell Rhodes passed into Jesus' arms on February 23, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.
She spent her final days living at West Acres Nursing Facility in Brockton while battling with Alzheimer's Disease. Constance was 88 years old.
Constance was born in Maumee, Ohio and was the daughter of the late George K. Redding and Emily Redding Jule. She was the wife of the late Clifford Snell and Leon k. Rhodes and sister to the late A. Elaine (Redding) Medford and the late G. Kenneth Redding.
Constance graduated from Abington High School in 1945 and after raising her three children and working several jobs, she joined the Foxboro Company in E. Bridgewater where she rose to be the only female in her field of engineering.
Upon retirement, she and her husband settled to Port St. Lucie, FL where they spend many years entertaining various nursing homes with music and dancing.
After he husband's death, she returned to Abington and continued her love of dancing with the Sophisticated Ladies for many years. She was very active with the Abington Seniors.
Constance is survived by her daughters Karen Snell Montagano of Brockton, Bette Snell Fader and her husband Brian of Pocasset and Doris Snell Barrows of Brockton. She much enjoyed her six grandchildren Kristine Alves Cuneo and her husband David of Mansfield, John Alves, Jr. of Taunton, Melanie Alves DeJesus and her husband Antonio of Fall River, William and Derek Fader of Pocasset and Elaine Barrows Powers of Brockton. She is also survived by ten loving great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Constance was a beautiful woman and will be remembered and missed by her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
