Eric Alfred Lundquist, age 80, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Wednesday, January 07, 2015.
A lifelong resident of Weymouth, Eric graduated from Weymouth High School in 1952. Eric served in the Air Force during the Korean War conflict and worked at the Pentagon in Washington DC. After his military service Eric worked as a Credit Manager at Crandall-Hicks British Imports which helped to fuel his lifelong passion of classic cars. Eric also researched family genealogy and traced his family tree back to the Mayflower and was a proud member of the Mayflower Society in Plymouth.
Eric is the loving husband of Helen (Martin) Lundquist and is also survived by his four children and their spouses: Thomas and Christine Lundquist of Yarmouth Port, Helen and Alan Murphy of Weymouth, Robert and Jacqueline Lundquist of East Bridgewater, and Martin and Margaret Lundquist of Lyndeborough, NH, his brother Henry Lundquist of Middleboro along with eleven grandchildren, Jason and Adam Murphy, Erica McGlone, Andrew, Sarah, Nicole, Erik, Bethany, Kristina, Kelly and Kevin Lundquist. Eric also leaves his lifelong friends, Eddie MacDonald and Paul Hassett and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Monday, January 12 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours will be on Sunday from 2 to 6 PM. Interment will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery in S. Weymouth.
