Vito J. Signorelli, age 83, passed away peacefully at his daughter’s home on Thursday, December 4, 2014. Vito was the loving husband of the late Sheila (Madden) Signorelli and is survived by his 2 children, Sharon Binkley and her husband Paul of North Weymouth and John Signorelli and his wife Patrice of Mansfield and his grandchildren, Scott Binkley and Nicole and Cristina Signorelli. Vito is the brother of William Signorelli, Anne Percy and Barbara Gunville all of Cohasset. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Vito is predeceased by his grandson, Christopher Binkley and his sisters, Theresa Signorelli, Kay Igo and Mary Green.
Vito was born and grew up in Cohasset and lived in Quincy for 25 years before moving to his daughter’s house in Weymouth.
He served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War and was a chef at Signorelli’s Restaurant and Glastonbury Abby both in Cohasset for many years. He was devoted to his family and loved the Raynham Dog Track, cooking and sports.
A Funeral Service will be held at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Wednesday December 10 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours will be on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Weymouth.
In lieu of flowers, please bring an ornament for Christopher’s tree in honor of Vito.
