Dolores R. (Pickard) Lohnes, age 84, formerly of Weymouth, passed away at the Royal Norwell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday August 13, 2014. Dolores was the wife for 60 years of the late Warren A. Lohnes. She is survived by her children, Robert W. Lohnes and his wife Ginny of Abington and Debra L. Lohnes and her husband, Frank Murphy of Abington; her grandchildren Brian Lohnes and his wife Kerri of Abington, Susann Shea and her husband Jim of Hadley, Amanda Correia and her husband Kyle of Hanover and Leah Dalrymple of Abington and her great grandchildren, Tom and Jack Lohnes both of Abington, Madison Correia of Hanover and Sullivan Shea of Hadley.
Dolores was born in Dorchester and lived in Weymouth until she moved to Hanover in 1986. She was a dedicated homemaker and bookkeeper for her husband’s company, Lohnes Pallets of Hanover. Dolores loved gardening and going to agriculture fairs and was a prize winner for her crocheting at the Marshfield Fair.
Visiting Hours will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Friday, August 15 from 4 to 8 P.M. The Funeral Service will be private.
