Roy A. Cass Jr.

Roy A. Cass Jr., age 83, passed away at Southwood Nursing Center in Norwell on Tuesday May 6, 2014. He is the husband of the late Theresa (Procter) Cass and is survived by his children, Roy David Cass and his wife Linda, Linda Cass and Thomas Cass all of Weymouth, his grandchildren, Amanda Cass, Kelly Cass, and Roy D. Cass Jr. all of Weymouth and his great grandchildren Adriana Lopez, and Alyson and William Erskine all of Weymouth. He is predeceased by his son, Stephen Edward Cass.
Roy was a lifelong resident of Weymouth and summered in Melbourne, FL and was a clerk for Massachusetts Electric Company for 45 years before retiring in 1992.
He was an avid reader, loved the outdoors and traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Southwood for their great care.
The Funeral will be from the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Friday, May 9 at 9 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at the St. Francis Xavier Church, 234 Pleasant St. S. Weymouth at 10 AM. Visiting Hours will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM. Interment is in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Weymouth.
