David Paul Nickerson, 49, died Friday, May 2, 2014, suddenly but peacefully at his home in Attleboro, MA. He was born in Boston, MA and is the son of Jackee and Mary Eileen Nickerson of Attleboro, formerly of Weymouth. David grew up in Weymouth, in Idlewell and was in the graduating class of 1983 from Weymouth North High School. David also lived in Abington and Braintree, but recently moved to Attleboro to be closer to his family.

David served in the Marine Corps and later worked for many years at Citco and then an oil delivery driver as a teamster for Petro Petroleum.

David enjoyed boating, traveling, trips to the beach, sporting events, but mostly he cherished the fun moments with family and friends. David loved being a Godfather, but his favorite title was for being the Coolest Uncle Ever.

David is survived by his parents, Jackee and Mary Eileen Nickerson of North Attleboro, formerly of Weymouth; his brother, Gregory Nickerson, and Greg’s wife Marcia and their children, Evan and Ashley Nickerson of Pelham, NH and his sister, Laura Low, and Laura’s husband Bert and their twin children Kamryn and Bret Low of North Attleboro, MA.

Visiting Hours will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Wednesday May 7 from 4 to 8 PM with a Private Funeral Service on Thursday at 11 AM.
