John P. Chetkauskas

John P. Chetkauskas, age 87 of Weymouth passed away at the New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton on Sunday January 19, 2014. John was the beloved husband for 62 years of Ruth (Sarkunas) Chetkauskas and is survived by his children, Robert F. Chetkauskas and his wife Virginia of Mattapan, Edward M. Chetkauskas, Diana R. Chetkauskas and Thomas Chetkauskas. He also leaves his grandchildren, Jeffrey P. Chetkauskas and his wife Linda of Maine, and Eric and Julie of Mattapan and his great grandchildren Amethyst R., Alexander R., and Tiana R. Chetkauskas. John is predeceased by his son, John A. Chetkauskas.
John was born in Bedford and grew up in South Boston before moving to South Weymouth in 1972.
John was a retired employee of the City of Boston for more than 30 years and served his country in the Army during World War 2.
