Rita E. King

Rita E. (Power) King, age 94, passed away at the Quincy Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a long battle with Alzheimer’s on Friday, November 15, 2013. Rita was the wife of the late Charles King and is survived by her daughter Mary Gail Walker of Weymouth, her granddaughter Rita Lento and her husband Michael of Weymouth and her great grandchildren, Michelle, Maria and Michael Lento Jr. all of Weymouth. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins. Rita is predeceased by her son, Thomas Hartnett and her parents William and Mary Power.
Mrs. King was born in Cambridge, grew up in Dorchester, lived in Weymouth for 25 years, moved to Braintree in 1993 and back to Weymouth in 2000.
The Funeral will be from the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on November 20 at 8 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at the St. Francis Xavier Church, 234 Pleasant St. S. Weymouth at 9 AM. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM.
