Vivian Elizabeth Haley Gannon, 56, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She was born in Boston and raised in South Weymouth, the daughter of H. Craswell Haley and the late Florence Horan Haley.
Vivian was a graduate of Weymouth High School in 1975 and Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing in 1978. She worked as an Intensive Care nurse at Mass General Hospital, as well as hospitals in California and Hawaii. Vivian began working at the Chesapeake Regional Medical Center as a Registered Nurse in 1990. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and was a member of the D.A.R. She enjoyed traveling the world, working out, running in local charity events, wine tasting, visiting with family and friends, reading and riding her motorcycle.
Vivian was the beloved wife of 33 years to Timothy L. Gannon; devoted mother to her daughter, Jennifer L. Gannon of Chesapeake, her sons, Jeffrey L. Gannon and his wife Megan of Saratoga Springs, New York and Gregory S. Gannon of Chesapeake. She also leaves behind her father, H. Craswell Haley of South Weymouth, her sister, Shirley R. Bradbury of Pepperell and brothers, Steven M. Haley of East Weymouth and Scott A. Haley of Marshfield and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at The Holy Nativity Church, 8 Nevin Rd. S. Weymouth on Saturday Nov. 16 at 1:00. Burial will be in Milton Cemetery.
