Christine (Booth) Stanton, aged 99, died peacefully on October 13, 2013, at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown, NH.
She was born in Malden, MA, on December 22, 1913, the daughter of George G. and Bertha (Barton) Booth and graduated from Malden High School and Malden Commercial School.
Christine was predeceased by her husband, Wilbur F. Stanton and her younger daughter, Francena (Stanton) Warden.
She is survived by her older daughter, Martha and her husband, Frederick H. McShea of Goffstown, NH, son-in-law, David Warden of Plymouth, MA, her grandchildren; Tamara McShea of Goffstown, NH, Terrence McShea and his wife Pamela, of Nashua, NH, Kelaine Drogos, of Butner, NC, Michael Warden and his wife, Theresa, of East Wareham, MA and seven great-grandchildren: Gavin, Brenden, Sean, Jarred, Kira, Holly and Jonathan.
She was married to her devoted husband for 65 years before his passing in 2005. Christine and her husband were charter members of the Forest Dale Community Church in Malden, MA. They had lived in South Weymouth, MA, for over 35 years. They had been very involved in public education, Weymouth Historical Society, Friends of the Library, Friends of South Shore Hospital among others. She will be greatly missed by all.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a future date at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant Street, (Columbian Sq.) South Weymouth, MA. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in South Weymouth, MA.
