Catherine F. Malloy

Catherine F. (Healy) Malloy, 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the South Shore Hospital surrounded by her loving family and friends after a long illness. She was born in Boston on April 30, 1932 the daughter of the late Mary (McDonald) Healy and Andrew Healy of South Boston. Catherine lived in South Boston, and moved to South Weymouth 44 years ago. She was employed as a clerk for the State Street Bank of Boston and enjoyed dancing, gardening, walks on the beach and spending time with family and friends.
Catherine was the wife of the late John R. Malloy and is survived by three daughters and one son, Kathleen Campbell and her husband David of Chelmsford, Suzanne Carson of Stoughton, Elizabeth Malloy of Weymouth and John M. Malloy and his fiance’ Kathleen Tierney of Rockland. She is also survived by a sister and brother, Mary Morgan and John Healy of South Boston, 5 grandchildren 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be from the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) on Tuesday August 13 at 9 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at the St. Francis Xavier Church, 234 Pleasant Street, S. Weymouth at 10 AM. Visiting Hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 PM.
