Bartlett M. Bulman, age 87, passed away at the Quincy Medical Center on Sunday, August 4, 2013. Bart was the husband of Jean (Richmond) Bulman and is survived by his 4 children, Richard Bulman and his wife Joan of Hanson, Judith Coletti and her husband Frank of Holbrook, Janet Lawton and her husband William of Abington, Carol Murray and her husband Bruce of Hanson. He leaves his grandchildren, John Kelliher, Thomas Kelliher, Lisa Busby, James Coletti, Jill Crowley and Jennifer Lawton. He is predeceased by his 2 grandchildren, John Coletti and Bethany Lawton. He also leaves his great grandchildren, Alyssa Kelliher, Sarah and Christopher Busby, Alicia, Taylor, Miranda and John Coletti, Ava, Ryan and Olivia Crowley.
Bart was born in Fall River and grew up in Squantum, graduated from North Quincy High School, and has lived in Weymouth since 1947.
He is a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was stationed in Guam and flew in the B-29 Super Fortress.
Bart worked in the automotive industry for many years as a Service Director ending his career with Mac Moran Chevrolet and Damon Pontiac.
Bart enjoyed boating starting with the sail boats as a teenager and moving up to motor boats all named Jeannie. He also enjoyed fishing and lobstering with friends and family. He was a member and past Commander of the George Bean Post 401in S. Weymouth and a member of the Town River Yacht Club in Quincy. His other interests were golf, wood working, and gardening. He was very active in the Holy Nativity Church, So Weymouth.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Holy Nativity Church, 8 Nevin Rd. S. Weymouth on Monday, August 12 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Sunday 4to8 PM.
