Robert L. Glynn, age 85, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, August 2, 2013. Bob was the husband of the late Nancy (Winslow) Glynn and is survived by his 3 children, Robert Glynn and his wife Maureen of Carver, Kevin Glynn and his wife Patricia of Plymouth and Kathleen Schneiderhan and her husband Daniel of Roslindale.
He also leaves his long time companion, Roberta McKearney of Weymouth, his brother, Jack Glynn of Attleboro, his sister, Dolly Heffernan of Weymouth, his 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his 2 daughters, Mary Helen Glynn and Marie Elizabeth Glynn.
Bob was born and grew up in Quincy, graduated from North Quincy High School, and has lived in Weymouth since 1955. He was an Electrical Engineer for Stone and Webster for many years. Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the treasurer of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Weymouth. He was the manager of the St. Francis Sanctions Drum and Bugle Corps and belonged to the Weymouth Elks.
The Funeral will be from the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Tuesday August 6 at 9 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at the Saint Francis Xavier Church, 234 Pleasant St. S. Weymouth at 10 AM. Visiting Hours will be on Monday 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be in the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Weymouth.
