James P. Hanson

James P. Hanson, age 81, formerly of South Weymouth, passed away on Monday May 28, 2013. Jim is survived by his 2 daughters, Tracy Ryan and her husband, Jim of Newton, NH and Lynn Holland and her husband, Gene of Londonderry, NH and his son, Andrew Hanson of Weymouth, MA. He also leaves 6 loving grandchildren, Courtney Hanson of Weymouth, Shayne, Emily, Jake and Grace Holland of Londonderry, NH and Jason Ryan of Haverhill, MA.
Jim was born in Melrose, MA, and lived in Weymouth for 50 years before moving to Alton Bay, NH. He graduated from Weymouth High School in 1949.
James Owned Hanson Wayside Furniture in S. Weymouth for 45 years before retiring in 1992. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Weymouth Elks and the American Legion in Alton, NH.
Visiting Hours will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Saturday, June 1 from 12 to 2 P.M. followed by a Funeral Service at the Funeral Home at 2 P.M. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jim’s memory to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
