Albert B. Wicklund

Albert Bruce Wicklund, age 68, died peacefully on March 25, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Wicklund was the son of the late Albert F. and Ruth Wicklund of South Weymouth. Al is survived by his wife of 37 years, Michele Denise (Donovan) Wicklund and their beloved children Denise Wicklund and her partner George Gilmer of Chicago, IL, Michael Wicklund of Brockton and Erika Tatem and her husband Jeff of East Hartford, CT. He also leaves his sisters Nancy and her husband Kenny Baker of Rockland, Linda and her husband Roland Page of Red Hook, NY, and Elle Ramponi of South Weymouth as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and colleagues.
Born in Somerville and raised in South Weymouth, Al was a graduate of Weymouth High School and proudly served his country in the US Army. Al worked as a computer programmer for Gillette for over 27 years before retiring in 2007. In his retirement and to keep active, Al enjoyed his part time work at Trucchi’s in Abington. An avid skier and golfer, Al could be found on the golf course every Sunday at Lakeville Country Club.
There will be a memorial mass held at Christ the King Parish in Brockton on April 2nd at 9 am; anyone wishing to attend is welcome.
Following cremation, friends are welcome to visit on April 25th from 10:30 to 11:30 am at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth. Interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne will be private.
