Alice M. (Butler) Bellofatto, age 77, passed away at the South Shore Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 14, 2013. Alice is survived by her husband of 58 years, Michael A. Bellofatto, her children Joanne Bellofatto of West Roxbury, Mick Bellofatto of Weymouth, James E. Bellofatto and his wife Brenda of Braintree and Matthew P. Bellofatto and his wife Christine of Avon, her grandchildren, Della, Cleo, James, Elizabeth and Mia and her great grandson, Mark. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Cassidy) Butler and the sister of the recently deceased Edward J. Butler.
Alice was born in Boston, grew up in Back Bay and lived the last 41 years in Weymouth. She loved and devoted her life to her husband and family. Alice worked at the Fabric Place in Randolph, was an expert knitter and shared her knowledge with many. She was very proud of her Irish heritage.
The funeral will be from the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Monday, March 18 at 9 A.M. followed by the Funeral Mass at St. Cecilia Church, 18 Belvidere St. Boston at 10:30 A.M. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 2 to 6 P.M.
