John A. Eliason

John A. Eliason, age 89, passed away surrounded by his loving family at the Weymouth Health Care Center on Tuesday September 4, 2012. John was the husband of the late Pearl J. (King) Eliason. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Debra Swain and her husband Craig of Blackstone, MA and Teresa Coons and her husband David of Horsham, PA. John also leaves 6 grandchildren. He is predeceased by his son, John A. Eliason Jr.
John was born and grew up in North Easton and lived the last 50 years in Weymouth. Before retiring he was a machinist for Tubular Rivet and Stud Company in Braintree for 42 years and drove Cab part-time in Weymouth. John was a member of the Oliver Ames Rod and Gun Club in Easton, loved fishing and was a boating enthusiast.
A Funeral will be held at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Monday September 10 at 10 A.M. Visiting Hours will be on Sunday from 5 to 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in John’s memory to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St. 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02110.
