Pitt Frank Eaton, age 80, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 13, 2012 in Weymouth. He was the beloved husband of Margaret (Wallace) Eaton, the father of Peter Eaton, of Los Angeles, CA, Pastor Neil Eaton, of Plymouth, and Paul Eaton, of Middleboro, and stepfather to Margaret’s two children, Anne Levangie and Robert Orenstein.
Pitt had 15 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was brother to Faith Davenport, Sally Ferguson, Jack Eaton, Robert Eaton and the late Neil Eaton and James Eaton. He was the son of the late Neil and Sadie Eaton.
He was a devout Christian and a passionate and well-read Christian apologist. Before his retirement, he worked as a carpenter and truck driver.
Pitt served as a Medic in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and received two Bronze Stars for his service.
The wake will be held at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.), S. Weymouth on Wednesday, January 18, from 4-8 P.M.
The funeral service will be held at New Hope Chapel of Plymouth, 89 Court St (Rte 3A) in downtown Plymouth, on Thursday at 11 A.M., which his son Neil pastors, with a burial service to follow at 1:30 P.M. at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to New Hope Chapel of Plymouth for benevolence.
