George S. Krall, age 73, passed away at the South Shore Hospital on Thursday October 27, 2011. George was the husband for 50 years of Joyce E. (Raymond) Krall and is survived by his children, Dawn McCarthy and her husband Mike of S. Weymouth, Scott Krall and his wife Jo Ann of Norwood and David Krall and his wife Sandy of S. Weymouth and his 8 grandchildren Tyler, Katelyn, Sadie, Jessie, Kamryn, Chloe, Christian and Devyn all who he adored very much. He also leaves his brother John Krall of Dorchester and many aunts, uncles and cousins. George was born in Brooklyn, NY, grew up in Hingham and lived in Weymouth for the last 44 years. He Graduated from Hingham High School in 1956, Received an Associate’s Degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology before graduating from Northeastern University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Management. George was a machinist at General Dynamics in Quincy, a Quality Assurance Engineer at the Hersey Products Company in Dedham, became an Engineer at Stone and Webster and the Raytheon Company before retiring in 2002. He was a member of the Quincy Masonic Lodge, a Cub Scout Leader of Pack 8 and a Boy Scout Leader of Troop 8 both in South Weymouth and was a Baseball Coach for Weymouth Farm League. George was an active member of the Old South Union Congregational Church for over 30 years. The Funeral Service will be at the Old South Union Congregational Church, 25 Columbian St. S. Weymouth on Monday October 31 at 10:30 A.M. Visiting Hours will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Sunday from 4 to 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in George’s memory to the Old South Union Congregational Church Scholarship Fund, 25 Columbian St. S. Weymouth, MA 02190-2414.
