Jane E. (Kent) Schomburg, age 88, passed away at the Eventide Home in Quincy on Tuesday October 25, 2011. She was the wife of the late Milton F. “Red” Schomburg. Jane was the beloved mother of Jean Daley of Wendell, Pamela DiLorenzo of Hull, Robert Schomburg of Livingston, TN, Michael Schomburg of Mansfield, Susan Schomburg of Stoughton and Eric Schomburg of Plymouth, the loving Step-mother of Ruth Berg of Taunton, Helen Berg of Denver CO and the Sister of Marguerite “Peggy” Crowley of Yorba Linda, CA and Lorraine Pagliaro of Weymouth. She was the grandmother and great grandmother of many, the Godmother of Gina Pagnotta of Braintree and the foster mother of 40 foster children. Jane was predeceased by her parents, Martin and Margaret Kent, her step-children Frederic and William Schomburg and her sister, Kathleen Collins. Jane was born and grew up in Boston and lived in Hull for 30 years before moving to Quincy 15 years ago. She loved Casino trips, surfing the internet, Writing and spending time with family and friends, especially her best friend and sister Lorraine. Visiting Hours will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Friday from 9 to 11 A.M. immediately followed by a Funeral Service at the Funeral Home at 11 A.M. Interment will be in the Hull Village Cemetery. Special thanks to the staff of the William B. Rice Eventide Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jane’s memory to the William B.
